Solid Scagliola Vase: crafted, sanded and hand polished to a high shine finished with wax for durability. Scagliola is a centuries-old technique developed to replicate marble and other types of stone using gypsum, pigments and glue. This process allows us to create intricate, organic patterns we have shaped into the universally appealing shape of the vase. While the palette and process are repeatable each work is entirely unique. Small inclusions are part of the handmade appeal and add to the uniqueness of the object. Each piece is completed with little cork pads on the bottom so as not to damage your surfaces. Handcrafted in Toronto.
